Job summary

Distinct | North America, an Illinois CPA firm with a High Net Worth and family office group, seeks an experienced fiduciary tax professional. You will review complex fiduciary returns, trusts, and estate documents, and work closely with estate and gift tax specialists to optimize client structures and reduce tax exposure.

You’ll interact with Partners and have opportunities to expand advisory involvement, while mentoring juniors in technical areas.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of fiduciary tax and wealth planning in public accounting.
• Strong High Net Worth exposure.
• CPA, JD or LLM in Taxation preferred.
• Knowledge of 1041s and estate planning documents.

Responsibilities

• Review complex fiduciary returns and estate documents.
• Collaborate with estate and gift tax specialists on client structuring.
• Engage in planning conversations and provide advisory input.
• Develop seniors and associates with technical training and mentorship.
• Maintain direct access to Partners and nurture client relationships.
