Qualifications

• 5+ years of Trust Administration paralegal experience.
• Working knowledge of the California Probate Code.
• Experience preparing trust accountings.
• Meets the paralegal requirements of California Business & Professions Code §6450.

Responsibilities

• Support 2–3 attorneys on trust administration and estate settlement from start to final distribution.
• Prepare trust administration notices and correspondence to trustees and beneficiaries.
• Inventory and value assets, coordinating with financial institutions, appraisers, and CPAs.
• Handle asset transfers, retitling, and distributions.
• Prepare trust accountings and draft petitions (Heggstad, spousal property, and others) for attorney review.
• Meet a billable expectation of 1,500 hours.
