Job summary

Ranger Energy Services in Midland, Texas is seeking a Senior Truck Driver to transport equipment and materials between jobsites. You will operate company vehicles safely, comply with DOT regulations, and maintain truck logs and basic inspections.

Responsibilities include loading and unloading, daily vehicle checks, and timely communication of any equipment or material issues. Travel across state lines is required, with a focus on reliability and teamwork in a fast-paced oilfield environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Three years of experience transporting equipment and materials.
  • Valid Class A CDL.
  • Three years of experience in the energy services industry.
  • No DUI or DWI within the past 3 years.
  • Ability to meet all DOT requirements.
  • Must pass a drug screening and background check.
  • Must be flexible to meet scheduling requirements.
  • Must be able to travel and cross state lines.
  • Must be able to operate a variety of vehicles safely and work independently or in a team.

The Senior Truck driver is responsible for transporting equipment and material throughout and between jobsites.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Obey traffic laws, and follow established traffic and transportation procedures
  • Operates company vehicle in a safe manner and compliant to all State and federal DOT standards and regulations
  • Inspect and maintain vehicle supplies and equipment, such as gas, oil, water, tires, lights, and brakes, to ensure that vehicles are in proper working condition
  • Reports vehicle accident/incident immediately to management
  • Maintain a truck log according to State and Federal regulations
  • Transport materials to and from specified job sites
  • Load and unload trucks
  • Daily inspection of truck
  • Communicate equipment and material issues
  • Other duties as assigned
REQUIRED EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
  • Three (3) years’ experience with transporting equipment and materials
  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License
  • Three (3) years’ experience in the energy services industry
  • No DUI or DWI within the past 3 years
  • Ability to meet all DOT requirements
  • Must pass a drug screening and background check
  • Must be flexible to meet scheduling requirements
  • Must be able to travel and cross state lines
  • Must have the ability to effectively operate a variety of vehicles safely and work reliably both independently and in a team setting
COMPUTER
  • Basic knowledge of MS Office preferred
