RON SUNSHINE ASSOCIATES LLC in Los Angeles is seeking a Senior Trial Attorney to lead plaintiff personal injury matters from filing through trial. This role offers substantial responsibility for high-value cases and the chance to shape strategy within a well-resourced litigation team.

You will work with seasoned litigators, paralegals, experts, and clients, manage complex dockets, conduct depositions, draft motions, and prepare for hearings.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Active California Bar membership.
• Extensive civil litigation and trial experience.
• Experience with depositions, mediations, and trial preparation.
• Strong writing, research, and advocacy skills.
• Able to manage a sophisticated litigation caseload.

Responsibilities

• Lead personal injury litigation from filing through settlement or trial.
• Develop case strategy, evaluate exposure and identify the strongest path toward resolution.
• Take and defend depositions, including those involving parties, experts and other key witnesses.
• Prepare for and appear at hearings, mediations, arbitrations and other proceedings.
• Draft and argue substantive motions and other significant court filings.
• Direct discovery strategy and oversee preparation of pleadings and litigation documents.
• Prepare cases for trial, including witnesses, experts, exhibits and evidentiary issues.
• Conduct settlement negotiations and evaluate resolution opportunities.
• Maintain direct communication with clients throughout the litigation process.
• Coordinate with medical professionals, experts and other resources necessary to develop damages and liability arguments.
• Provide direction to paralegals and litigation support personnel.
• Collaborate with other senior attorneys on particularly complex or high-exposure cases.

The Opportunity

We are pleased to represent a highly successful and well-established Los Angeles plaintiff personal injury law firm seeking an accomplished Senior Trial Attorney to join its litigation team.

This opportunity is designed for an experienced litigator who wants significant responsibility for complex, high-value personal injury matters and the opportunity to take cases through trial. The firm has substantial resources, an established litigation infrastructure, and a strong record of obtaining significant results on behalf of injured clients.

The Senior Trial Attorney will work with other experienced litigators, paralegals, legal assistants, experts, and outside professionals while maintaining meaningful ownership of assigned cases.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead personal injury litigation from filing through settlement or trial.

Candidate Profile

We are interested in having exploratory conversations with attorneys who combine strong litigation skills with sound judgment, persuasive advocacy and the ability to build credibility with clients, opposing counsel and the court.

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in the California Bar.
• Meaningful civil litigation experience, preferably representing plaintiffs in personal injury matters.
• Demonstrated courtroom and trial preparation experience.
• Experience conducting depositions and participating in mediations and settlement negotiations.
• Strong motion practice, legal research and writing skills.
• Ability to independently manage a sophisticated litigation caseload.
• Excellent case-management and organizational skills.
• Strong client communication and relationship-management abilities.
• Ability to operate effectively in a high-volume, results-oriented litigation environment.
• Spanish-language capability is helpful but not required.
