Nationwide Trial Division seeks a Senior Trial Attorney with extensive civil litigation experience in property and casualty insurance defense or subrogation. The role represents clients as lead counsel and collaborates with a larger team across multiple jurisdictions.

Expect a busy caseload, opportunities to mentor, and a hybrid work arrangement. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of relevant experience, a Juris Doctor, and an active state license, with strong analytical and communication

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• Maintains an active license in the state where the position is located.
• Typically 8+ years of civil litigation experience in property and casualty insurance defense or subrogation.
• Strong written and verbal communication; collaborative; mentor to junior attorneys and staff.
• Willingness to work on-site or from home as required; able to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates trial advocacy skills independently as lead counsel or as part of a team.
• Requires minimal supervisory oversight from senior leadership.
• Uses technology effectively and coordinates with staff for efficient case management.
• Keeps abreast of changes in law and procedure affecting liability and recovery litigation.
• Builds strong professional relationships with claims partners and colleagues; mentors others.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
