The 12th Judicial District Attorney’s Office in Alamogordo, NM is seeking an in-house Trial Attorney to prosecute criminal and non-criminal cases in Otero County. The ideal candidate will have advanced experience and thrive in a fast-paced courtroom environment.

Responsibilities include leading or supporting trial teams, mentoring staff, coordinating with law enforcement at crime scenes, and participating in community education projects.

Qualifications

• Licensed attorney to practice law in New Mexico.
• Minimum four years as a practicing attorney in criminal law or three years as a prosecuting attorney.

Responsibilities

• Lead or assist in trial teams and manage complex prosecutions.
• Supervise or mentor other attorneys and staff; provide training.
• Collaborate with law enforcement at crime scenes and conduct investigations.
• Engage in community outreach and educational projects as assigned.
