Job summary

Republic Finance in Plano, TX is seeking a Senior Treasury Operations Specialist to lead daily treasury operations, update cash positions, and manage short‑term liquidity forecasts for our branch network.

You will administer payment operations (ACH, wires, checks), maintain controls against fraud, and serve as a treasury point of contact for banks, auditors and internal partners across Accounting, Operations, IT and Legal. This is a hands‑on, senior role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration or related field; equivalent treasury experience will be considered.
• Experience in consumer finance, commercial lending, banking or high-transaction, multi-location environment.
• Knowledge of ACH rules (NACHA), wire and Fedwire, RTP, check clearing and payment fraud controls.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including large data sets, lookups and pivot tables.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a control-minded approach.

Responsibilities

• Cash and liquidity management: Carry out cash concentration and funding activity, keep target balances and update daily cash forecast.
• Payment operations: Initiate, review and approve ACH, wire and other outgoing payments with delegated authority.
• Fraud prevention and controls: Administer treasury fraud controls, investigate fraud and coordinate with partners.
• Bank relationship management: Act as day-to-day contact for banking partners and manage account openings/closures.
• Branch network support: Provide treasury support to branches including deposits, remote deposit capture and cash logistics.
• Reconciliation and month-end close: Work with Accounting to resolve aged or unusual items.
• Treasury systems and data: Administer online banking platforms and treasury reporting databases.
• Policy, audit and compliance: Maintain treasury policies and support audits and regulatory exams.
• Team support and training: Mentor other treasury specialists and ensure cross-training.
• Business partnership and initiatives: Represent Treasury on cross-functional projects and system implementations.

As Senior Treasury Operations Specialist, you will lead Republic Finance's daily treasury operations. You will update the company's daily cash position and short-term liquidity forecast. You will also handle bank relationships and the bank account structure that supports our branch network. You will administer payment operations across ACH, wire and check, and maintain the controls that protect company funds from fraud and error. This is a senior, hands-on role. You will do complex treasury work yourself, act as the lead resource and backup for the team, train and mentor other specialists, and serve as a treasury point of contact for banks, auditors and internal partners in Accounting, Operations, IT and Legal. Responsibilities are as follows:

• Cash and liquidity management: Carry out and oversee cash concentration and funding activity, keep target balances across all accounts and resolve shortfalls quickly. Update the daily cash forecast to support funding and investment decisions.
• Payment operations: Initiate, review and approve ACH, wire and other outgoing payments within delegated authority. Enforce segregation of duties, dual control and callback verifications. Handle complex treasury transactions and resolve errors.
• Fraud prevention and controls: Administer treasury fraud controls, including positive pay, ACH debit filters and blocks, and account validation. Track and resolve positive pay exceptions. Investigate suspected fraud and unauthorized activity, coordinate recovery and claims with banking partners, and elevate to Legal, Compliance and leadership when needed.
• Bank relationship management: Act as a day‑to‑day contact for the company's banking partners. Manage account openings, closings and structure changes. Maintain authorized signer and entitlement records. Support service reviews, RFPs and pricing negotiations.
• Branch network support: Provide treasury support to the branch network. This includes deposit programs, administering remote deposit capture, cash logistics, bank account setup for new and relocated branches, and resolving escalated branch banking issues.
• Reconciliation and month‑end close: Work with Accounting department to resolve aged or unusual items.
• Treasury systems and data: Administer the online banking platforms, the remote deposit application and the treasury reporting databases. Manage user access and entitlements. Find and carry out automation and process improvements that reduce manual work and operational risk.
• Policy, audit and compliance: Maintain treasury policies, procedures and desktop documentation. Support internal audits, external audits and regulatory examinations.
• Team support and training: Train, mentor and review the work of other treasury operations specialists. Make sure all critical daily functions have cross‑training and documented backup coverage.
• Business partnership and company initiatives: Represent Treasury on cross‑functional projects and system implementations. Make sure business requirements are captured and reviewed so they accurately reflect what the treasury team needs. Work with internal and external partners to meet department and company goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business Administration or a related field preferred. Equivalent treasury experience will be considered.
• Experience in consumer finance, commercial lending, banking or another high‑transaction, multi‑location environment strongly preferred.
• Working knowledge of ACH rules (NACHA), wire and Fedwire practices, RTP, check clearing, positive pay and payment fraud controls.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including large data sets, lookups and pivot tables. Proficient in the rest of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint); SharePoint and Claude is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, close attention to detail and a control‑minded approach.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presenting clearly to leadership and banking partners.
• Good judgment and discretion with confidential financial information.
• Solutions‑oriented, with a professional manner and a positive demeanor.
• Able to work in a fast‑paced environment, juggle competing priorities and meet firm daily cutoff deadlines.
