Job summary

Atmos Energy is seeking an experienced Treasury Analyst to manage cash forecasting, reporting, and debt-related activities. The role requires a Master’s or Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration and multiple years of finance experience, with strong Hyperion and BI skills.

You will prepare monthly GL and debt reports, support rating agencies, and partner with IT to maintain treasury systems.

Qualifications

• Requires Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration and three years experience in finance, accounting or cash management.
• Requires Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration and four years experience in finance, accounting or cash management.
• Strong communication skills to persuade and influence internal customers at all levels of management on technical matters.
• Proficiency in algebraic, trigonometric and geometric operations and in moderately complex statistical and/or accounting methods.
• Advanced knowledge of software applications to create spreadsheets, documents, reports and graphics.

Responsibilities

• Maintains treasury policies, procedures and controls to ensure GAAP compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Prepares and submits monthly treasury general ledger reports.
• Prepares month-end/quarter-end reports for debt and investments and reconciles with bank statements.
• Documents and tracks debt covenants and assists in loan compliance calculations.
• Assists in rating agency reporting and related fee payments.
• Collaborates with IT to maintain treasury management software and troubleshoot issues.
• Handles rate case responses and monthly capital structure reports.
• Responds to SOX audit requests and maintains process documentation.
• Manages Procurement Card and Travel & Entertainment Card programs, liaising with the card sponsor.
• Prepares cash flow forecasts and supports working capital process technology implementations.
