Quest Diagnostics Employer Solutions in Saint Michael, MN seeks a Sr. Phlebotomy Technician to support the supervisor, perform venous and capillary blood collection from adults, infants, and children, and handle point-of-care testing.

Travel is required; shifts include early mornings and evenings with weekends rotation. The role emphasizes efficient workflow, accurate specimen handling, and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3 years of POC and phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in CA, NV and WA.

Responsibilities

• Prepares staff schedule to provide adequate coverage and updates changes daily.
• Ensures equitable distribution of workload.
• Troubleshoots and resolves issues with technicians, clinic staff etc. as needed in conjunction with the Supervisor.
• Performs phlebotomy and POC testing as needed.
• Maintains drawing and POC testing carts/trays with necessary supplies.
• Obtains specimens, requisitions, draw blood or perform POC tests as needed.
• Communicates with patients and caregivers at their level and ensures understanding.
