Job summary

A global leader in sustainable engineering is seeking a Transportation Structural Engineer in California. The successful candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in the design of transportation structures, including highways and rail systems. Responsibilities include preparing design drawings and calculations, coordinating with clients, and ensuring project standards are met. Attention to detail and strong leadership skills are essential. A Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field is required, and experience with High Speed Rail is preferred.

Qualifications

• Registered as a Professional Engineer in California.
• 5+ years of experience in engineering design and design checks.
• Experience with California High Speed Rail is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design new transportation structures and rehabilitate existing ones.
• Prepare design drawings, calculations, and details.
• Coordinate with clients and other disciplines.

Skills

Proficient in concrete, steel, masonry, and wood/timber design

Proficiency in Structural Analysis software (SAP2000, CSiBridge, Midas Civil)

Strong background in structural design calculations and plans

Attention to detail

Leadership and team building skills

Education

Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering

Master's degree (preferred)
