The Transportation Security Administration (TSA), Department of Homeland Security, Bassfield, MS, is seeking a Supervisory role to lead Transportation Security Officers and oversee passenger and baggage screening operations. Qualifications

• At least one year of specialized experience supervising transportation-security operations.
• At least six months as a work leader, team leader, or supervisor.
• Current TSA employment is often required for eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Transportation Security Officers and Lead Transportation Security Officers.
• Oversee passenger, carry-on, baggage, or cargo screening operations.
• Assign work, establish priorities, and coordinate rotations and coverage.
• Make security-based decisions using TSA procedures, observation, and judgment.
• Review employee performance and provide coaching, instruction, and developmental feedback.
• Respond to security incidents, checkpoint disruptions, and emergencies.
• Prepare operational briefings, checkpoint logs, incident reports, and management communications.
• Coordinate with airport stakeholders, law-enforcement personnel, and TSA leadership as required.
• Recommend improvements to screening procedures, staffing plans, and airport operations.
