Job summary

The Transportation Security Administration in South Bound Brook, NJ is seeking a supervisory professional to oversee Transportation Security Officers and Lead Transportation Security Officers, and to coordinate screening operations. This full-time on-site role requires assigning workloads, monitoring performance, and making security-based decisions per TSA procedures.

You will coordinate with airport stakeholders, review performance, and provide coaching and developmental feedback.

Qualifications

At least one year of specialized experience in supervising security operations.
At least six months leading a team or supervising staff.

Responsibilities

Supervise Transportation Security Officers and Lead Transportation Security Officers.
Oversee passenger, carry-on, checked baggage, or cargo-screening operations.
Assign work, establish priorities, and coordinate rotations and coverage.
Make security-based decisions using TSA procedures and judgment.
Review employee performance and provide coaching and feedback.
Approve leave and address routine workplace concerns.
Respond to security incidents, disruptions, and emergencies.
Prepare operational briefings, logs, and management communications.
Coordinate with airport stakeholders and TSA leadership when required.
Recommend improvements to screening procedures and staffing plans.
