Job summary

Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is seeking a Supervisory Transportation Security Officer (STSOs) to lead screening operations at the assigned airport in McComb, MS. You will supervise officers, coordinate staffing, and ensure security procedures are carried out consistently and safely.

The role requires sound judgment, clear communication, and the ability to respond quickly to security incidents, with shifts that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, or overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of supervision experience in security operations.
• Experience as a lead officer is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Transportation Security Officers and Lead Transportation Security Officers
• Oversee passenger, carry-on baggage, checked baggage, or cargo-screening operations
• Assign work, establish priorities, and coordinate rotations and coverage
• Make security-based decisions using TSA procedures and operational information
• Review employee performance and provide coaching and feedback
• Respond to security incidents, disruptions, and emergencies
• Coordinate with airport stakeholders and TSA leadership when required
• Prepare briefings, logs, and management communications
