Job summary

Transportation Security Administration in Crossville, AL is seeking a Supervisory Transportation Security Officer to lead daily screening operations and supervise a team of officers. You will coordinate staffing, make security-based decisions, and communicate with airport stakeholders to ensure procedures are followed accurately.

Applicants should have at least one year of specialized supervisory experience and six months of leadership experience.

Qualifications

At least one year of specialized experience supervising transportation-security operations.
At least six months of experience as a work leader, team leader, or supervisor.
Current permanent or eligible TSA employees may be preferred; review eligibility in the vacancy.

Responsibilities

Supervise Transportation Security Officers and Lead Transportation Security Officers.
Oversee passenger, carry-on and checked baggage, or cargo-screening operations.
Assign work, establish priorities, and coordinate rotations and coverage.
Make security-based decisions using TSA procedures and situational judgment.
Review performance and provide coaching and feedback.
Approve leave and address routine workplace concerns.
Respond to security incidents, disruptions, and emergencies.
Prepare operational briefings and incident reports for management.
Coordinate with airport stakeholders and TSA leadership as required.
Recommend improvements to screening procedures, staffing plans, and operations.
