Job summary

Lochmueller Group is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our Transportation Team. Initially, you’ll manage a variety of transportation projects, then play a key role in expanding our major project capabilities through pursuit leadership and mentoring project managers.

You’ll contribute to successful execution of large, complex, and alternative delivery projects while collaborating across disciplines in an employee‑owned environment that values accountability and delivery

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and PE required.
• DBIA certification is preferred but not required.
• Extensive, progressive experience managing major transportation projects.
• Experience delivering design-build and other alternative delivery projects.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary project teams.
• Experience managing budgets, schedules, contracts, and client relationships.
• Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with state DOTs, local agencies, or transportation authorities.
• Experience mentoring and developing project managers and technical staff is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage transportation projects through all phases of planning, design, and delivery.
• Lead project teams in scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and client expectations.
• Oversee project financial performance including budgeting and forecasting.
• Apply quality control procedures and risk management practices.
• Promote standardized project management practices across offices.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to internal teams and clients.
• Support pursuit strategy, proposals, and interview preparation for transportation opportunities.
• Mentor and coach project managers and staff across the Transportation Sector.
