Dewberry is seeking a Senior Transportation Project Manager in our Rancho Cordova, CA office to lead transportation projects for public and private clients. You will oversee planning, design, and PS&E efforts, coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver high-quality results.

Ideal candidates bring 12+ years in transportation engineering, PE license, and proven client management. You will mentor staff, manage budgets and schedules, and contribute to Dewberry's growing western practice.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• California Professional Engineer (PE) License.
• 12+ years of transportation engineering design experience.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD/Civil 3D and Microstation/Open Roads.
• Ability to meet project budgets and schedules.
• Strong communication with clients, coworkers, sub‑consultants, agency review staff, and utilities.
• Ability to compose concise technical reports, memorandums, and other written communication.
• Ability to handle multiple concurrent projects.

Senior Transportation Project Manager

Responsibilities

Transportation projects will include planning and design, state highway work, interchanges, local roadways, multi-modal facilities, multi-use paths, complete streets, drainage systems, storm water management, utility relocations, and preparation of preliminary design and contract documents (PS&E). The successful candidate must be flexible, technologically savvy with a strong design background, and client focused. The work requires familiarity with state and local design standards, AutoCAD/Civil 3D, Microstation/Open Roads, strong capabilities in Microsoft Office Suite, and experience with client and project management.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• California Professional Engineer (PE) License.
• 12+ years of experience in transportation engineering design.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD/Civil 3D and Microstation/Open Roads.

Salary Range

The projected range for this position is $170,000-$200,000 annually. Depending upon other factors, i.e., skills, experience, location, market conditions, the range may vary slightly.
