Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Senior Transportation Project Manager for our Mobility team in Chattanooga, TN or Nashville, TN. This office-based role offers the option to work remotely part-time, and focuses on delivering highway and rural/urban roadway projects with strong client engagement.

You will lead multi-disciplinary teams, manage scopes and budgets, and coordinate with state DOTs and clients to ensure quality and safety across all project phases.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive highway design experience in DOT or local government.
• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or PMP considered with relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead project teams to accomplish highway project tasks.
• Oversee planning development; roadway and interchange design; rights of way coordination.
• Manage client engagement and all aspects of project pursuit and development.
• Develop project scopes, budgets, plans and schedules; coordinate meetings and communications.

Role description

Arcadis is seeking a Senior Transportation Project Manager for our growing Mobility team in Chattanooga, TN or Nashville, TN. This position is office-based with the option to work remotely part-time. Collaborating with other experienced transportation professionals, you will deliver transportation projects of various sizes and funding sources. This is a great opportunity to develop public sector project management skills!

Role accountabilities

• Lead project teams to accomplish task assignments related to highway projects,


• Project roles include planning development; urban and rural roadway design; freeway and interchange design; rights of way coordination and management; and public safety, all with a focus on quality.


• Full client engagement and responsibility for all aspects of project pursuit and development:
  
  
  
  • Ability to lead and manage all phases of a project.
  
  
  • Develop project scopes and budgets, interfacing with and maintenance of clients, and development of project plans and schedules.
  
  
  
  


• Assist as needed on other projects assigned and work with other Arcades offices as needed.


• Interpersonal and client facing responsibilities will include excellent, clear, and concise, oral and written communication skills, and a demonstrated ability to coordinate meetings, resources, and presentations.


• Adhere to Arcadis' practices including quality and safety standards.

Qualifications & Experience

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive highway (State Department of Transportation or local municipality) design experience, including PM experience.


• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering


• Professional Engineer (PE) license or PMP considered with relevant work/industry experience

• Progressive highway (State Department of Transportation or local municipality) design experience, including PM experience on roadway design projects.

Preferred Qualifications

• Tennessee PE license or ability to obtain.


• Active participation in regional and/or national professional associations.

Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
