Job summary

AVCON, INC. in San Juan, Puerto Rico, seeks a Sr. Project Manager, Transportation to lead transportation/roadway projects from proposal through construction, overseeing technical aspects and coordinating engineers and sub-consultants to meet schedule and budget.

The position requires a Civil Engineering degree (B.S. or M.S.), 12+ years of experience, FHWA project exposure, PR licensure, and proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D or Bentley and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Civil Engineering degree (B.S. or M.S.).
• At least 12 years of experience in transportation/roadway projects.
• Experience with FHWA-funded projects and PR agencies.
• Licensed in Puerto Rico or eligible to obtain licensure.
• Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D or Bentley and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and management of transportation projects from proposal through construction.
• Ensure quality control and QA across documents and drawings.
• Coordinate engineers and sub-consultants and manage budgets and schedules.
• Prepare project scopes, tasks, budgets, and monthly status reports.
• Interface with clients, officials, and contractors to resolve issues.
