Job summary

SEH is seeking a Senior Transportation Planner to join our Transportation Practice Center in the West Region. This role may be remote with occasional on-site visits for Colorado projects and client meetings across the region.

You will contribute to multi-modal transportation planning, environmental documentation, and corridor studies, collaborating with a team of employee-owners who value innovation and community impact. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in planning or civil engineering with transportation emphasis.
• Minimum 2 years of consulting/public sector experience in transportation planning.
• Understanding of Federal and State of Colorado local agency project requirements.
• Experience working with cities and counties throughout Colorado.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to travel as needed for meetings, client consultations, on-site inspections/visits, etc.

Responsibilities

• Conceptual design of transportation and multimodal projects.
• Environmental documentation preparation and coordination.
• Conduct transportation planning studies and corridor studies.
• Prepare draft and final corridor studies, access control plans, project reports, and technical memos.
• Assist in marketing all types of transportation and municipal planning projects.
• Interact with clients on projects including meetings, public meetings and workshops.
