Senior Transportation Planner – City of Springfield, Oregon

Job Overview

The City of Springfield is seeking an experienced Transportation Planner to enhance Springfield’s livability and environmental quality by improving infrastructure and fostering an inclusive community.

Responsibilities

• Identify, secure funding for, and plan capital transportation projects.
• Represent Springfield in regional transportation funding and coordination discussions at the Metropolitan Planning Organization.
• Expand multimodal opportunities, including staffing the City’s Bicycle Pedestrian Advisory Committee.
• Coordinate designating climate‑friendly areas, shaping the city’s parking management approach, and updating the Transportation System Plan.
• Build relationships across agencies, support city staff implementing transportation plans, and engage broader community stakeholders.
