Job summary

NFI is seeking a Transportation Manager to oversee dedicated fleet operations with full P&L responsibility and to exceed customer expectations while developing additional business opportunities. The role requires planning, coordination, and leadership across operations, finance, and safety functions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 5+ years’ overall experience in supply chain.
• Experience with TMW and AS400 is preferred.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Working knowledge of transportation / mechanical equipment and related regulations.
• Excellent talent management, verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to become certified in OSHA/DOT/HAZMAT as needed.
• On-call availability for alarm systems or off-hours support.

Responsibilities

• Manages day-to-day operations of facilities and subordinate staff including supervisors, coordinators, clerks, spotters, and drivers.
• Accounts for interaction with the customer on an ongoing basis regarding reviews and continuous improvement.
• Develops and manages a comprehensive strategy for the project by shaping requirements and resources.
• Plans long-term labor needs based on sales, forecasts and historical data.
• Develops a strategic plan to ensure efficient and cost-effective operation of equipment and personnel.
• Oversees asset management, delivery/logistics, regulatory compliance, and productivity improvement.
• Oversees and ensures all customer pick-up and delivery requirements meet standards.
• Audits compliance of internal and external SOPs.
