Job summary

Werner Enterprises is seeking a Senior Bodily Injury Claims Examiner to investigate, reserve, and negotiate resolution of transportation liability claims in a self‑insured environment.

Responsibilities include liability investigations, reserve recommendations, damages verification, and active settlement negotiations. You will coordinate with in‑house and external counsel and attend mediations or trials as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 5 years related claims experience required; transportation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct investigations to analyze liability exposure, reserve recommendations, verify damages, and negotiate settlements.
• Work with in-house and external counsel; attend mediations and trials as needed.
• Prepare in-house reserve and settlement memoranda for committee review.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisory personnel.
