Role Overview

Join Olsson’s dynamic and expanding Roadway team as a Senior Engineer and have a pivotal impact in shaping the success of our growth in the St. Louis area! As we embark on the incredible opportunity to expand our footprint, we are seeking an experienced engineer to elevate our team to new heights. Olsson provides multidisciplinary design services for transportation‑related projects including urban and rural highways, interchanges, and municipal roadways.

In this influential role, you will spread technical excellence, serving as the lead engineer and trusted advisor on intricate projects. Your responsibilities will extend to providing high‑level technical design, overseeing quality assurance/control, and managing projects with a keen eye on scope, schedule, and budget. You will not only review contracts and champion efficiency in producing top‑notch work but will also curate technical resources, fostering an environment of continuous improvement. There will also be opportunity to provide guidance to less experienced staff, contribute to team building, and engage in client relations.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Provides high‑level project design and review of project documents and design quality for complex projects.

  • Works collaboratively to promote efficiencies and produce high quality work.
  • Contributes to the development of standards and/or guidelines for engineering activities within the team.
  • Supervises, mentors, and reviews technical assignments of less experienced staff.

  • Experience with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Connectivity with local municipalities in the St. Louis area strongly preferred.
