Job summary

American Electric Power in Roanoke, VA, is seeking an Engineer Associate/Engineer for on-site work at our Roanoke or New Albany offices. Qualifications

ABET accreditation awareness and standards.
Preparation for PE licensing encouraged.

Responsibilities

Support sponsors in conceptual estimates and develop detailed project cost estimates based on approved scope.
Interface with planning and engineering teams to identify, scope, and follow up estimate efforts.
Develop and analyze historical project cost records and critique designs for cost effectiveness.
Adhere to standard estimating processes and review assumptions for completeness and reasonableness.
Provide technical direction on estimate approaches and resolve estimate issues.
Assist with maintaining estimating software and data integrity.
Demonstrate high ethical standards and comply with company policy.
