Job summary

Northrop Grumman Federal Credit Union is seeking a Senior Training Specialist to design, deliver, and evaluate learning programs across the credit union.

You will design engaging training across formats, develop ARTS eLearning, and facilitate energetic sessions in person and online. A bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of experience are required, with travel up to 10% and a customer-centric mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; equivalent experience may be considered.
• 3+ years of instructional design and facilitation experience preferred.
• Experience designing, developing, delivering, and evaluating training programs.
• Strong knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design, and Kirkpatrick's Model.
• Advanced proficiency in Articulate Storyline and Rise.
• Strong presentation, communication, organization, and project management skills.

• Conduct needs assessments with leaders and SMEs to identify training needs.
• Manage training projects from planning through evaluation with limited supervision.

Are you passionate about creating engaging learning experiences and helping employees succeed? Our award-winning Talent Development team is looking for a Senior Training Specialist who brings the best of both worlds—Instructional Design expertise and dynamic facilitation skills.

This role will design, develop, facilitate, and evaluate training programs across the Credit Union. The ideal candidate is creative, highly organized, and comfortable taking a training project from needs assessment through delivery and evaluation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop engaging training programs using the ADDIE model, adult learning principles, and Kirkpatrick's Model.
• Create training across multiple formats, including instructor-led, virtual, eLearning, workshops, team activities, job aids, and manuals.
• Develop interactive eLearning using Articulate Storyline and Rise; advanced proficiency is required.
• Utilize innovative instructional design approaches, including Vibe Coding, to create engaging learning experiences.
• Facilitate dynamic, high-energy training in both virtual and in-person environments.
• Deliver training related to Credit Union operations, lending, new employee orientation, and professional development.
• Conduct needs assessments and collaborate with leaders and subject matter experts to identify training needs.
• Manage training projects from planning through implementation and evaluation with limited supervision.
• Support the administration of the Learning Management System (LMS), including reporting, recordkeeping, and auditing.
• Maintain and update training materials, assessments, job aids, and other learning resources.
• Evaluate training effectiveness through learner feedback, assessments, and follow-up.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on Credit Union policies, procedures, systems, products, and services.
• Support compliance, auditing, reporting, and other Talent Development initiatives.

What You'll Bring

• Bachelor's degree required; equivalent experience may be considered.
• 3+ years of instructional design and facilitation experience preferred.
• Experience designing, developing, delivering, and evaluating training programs.
• Strong knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design, and Kirkpatrick's Model.
• Advanced proficiency in Articulate Storyline and Rise.
• Strong presentation, communication, organization, and project management skills.
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Credit union or financial services experience preferred, particularly knowledge of branch operations, member service, lending, and Credit Union systems.
• Knowledge of federal and state banking/Credit Union regulations is a plus.
• Ability to travel locally and non-locally up to 10%.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
