Job summary

BFT Westport is seeking a BFT Performance Coach to lead high-energy group training sessions while motivating members and delivering world-class coaching. Qualified candidates should hold a degree in Exercise Science or a related field, possess national certification, and a current CPR/AED certification. Position Overview

As a BFT Performance Coach, you will lead high‑energy group training sessions, deliver world‑class coaching, and create an environment where members feel supported, challenged, and motivated.

You are part coach, part educator, and part leader—responsible for both client results and studio culture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and coach structured group strength & conditioning sessions following BFT programming
  • Deliver high-energy, engaging coaching to groups of up to 30+ members
  • Teach and correct proper movement, technique, and exercise progressions
  • Provide modifications to ensure safe and effective training for all fitness levels
  • Motivate, inspire, and build strong relationships with members
  • Drive member engagement, attendance, and retention through exceptional coaching
  • Support studio growth through community building and member experience
  • Attend team meetings, training, and ongoing education sessions

Qualifications

Required:

  • Degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Physical Education, or related field OR
  • Nationally recognized certification (NASM, ACE, NSCA, etc.)
  • Current CPR/AED certification

Preferred:

  • Experience coaching group fitness, strength & conditioning, or athletic performance
  • Background in sports, athletics, or performance training
  • CSCS or equivalent certification
