Job summary

Shain Associates is seeking a seasoned software development leader to manage delivery of mission-critical trading system software. You will oversee cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into robust software, drive project planning, and ensure strict adherence to SDLC and QA processes, while guiding releases and architecture integrity.

Qualifications

• Experience managing software development teams in mission critical environments.
• Preferably brokerage front ends and/or trading systems experience.
• Strong track record of delivering production quality software.
• Must have full software development life cycle experience.
• Excellent software design skills and knowledge of advanced data structures.
• Knowledge of FIX, OPRA, CTA or UTP protocols is a plus.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills; team oriented.

Responsibilities

• Manage software development efforts to project plans and collaborate with the PMO for tracking.
• Work with teams to translate business requirements into software solutions.
• Drive the project planning process to manage software deliverables.
• Ensure adherence to SDLC and QA processes and manage software releases.
• Maintain the integrity of the trading system architecture, messaging, and domain structure.
• Collaborate with QA and Use Case teams to facilitate testing.
• Contribute as a decision maker in failure/recovery paradigms and performance analysis.
• Participate in Requirements Committee and Crisis Management Team.
