Job summary

ColonialWebb is seeking an experienced Construction Trades Superintendent to lead a workforce of ~800 skilled craft professionals across multiple job sites in the Richmond, VA area. You will recruit, evaluate, and deploy trades talent to ensure safety, productivity, quality, and on-time delivery.

You will partner with Operations leadership, project teams, and field supervision to forecast labor needs, assign workers by experience and certifications, and build 3-, 6-, and 12-month workforce

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience as a Superintendent on large, complex construction projects.
• Strong background in Mechanical and Plumbing construction.
• Experience managing and supporting large skilled craft workforces.
• Data center construction experience strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to evaluate craft skill levels, leadership potential, and job readiness.
• Strong understanding of workforce planning and labor forecasting.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support workforce planning and staffing for large, complex construction projects across multiple sites.
• Forecast labor needs with Operations leadership and project teams.
• Evaluate skilled trades professionals through interviews and performance history.
• Assign craft professionals to projects based on experience, certifications, and project requirements.
• Develop and maintain 3-, 6-, and 12-month workforce forecasts aligned with schedules.
• Translate project schedules into labor demand plans by trade and skill level.
• Identify workforce gaps and develop recruiting strategies for future staffing.
• Build relationships with trade schools, apprenticeship programs, and industry organizations.
• Support hiring events and recruiting initiatives to attract skilled craft professionals.
• Collaborate with Superintendents, Project Managers, HR, and Operations leadership on staffing and workforce adjustments.
• Promote ColonialWebb's safety culture, accountability, craftsmanship, and respect.
