Job summary

• Global trademark clearance.
• Prosecution and maintenance of a global trademark portfolio.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree (completed and verified prior to start)
• Domestic and/or foreign trademark paralegal work experience in a private, public, government or military environment
• Certification in an ABA accredited paralegal / legal assistant program
• Three (3) years of domestic and foreign trademark paralegal work experience in a private, public, government or military environment

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Certification in an ABA accredited paralegal/legal assistant program
• At least five (5) years of domestic and foreign trademark paralegal work experience in a private, public, government or military environment
• Experience in both private practice and in‑house is preferred
• International trademark clearance, prosecution and enforcement experience, including an understanding of the Madrid Protocol, Paris Convention and trademark docketing protocols.
• Collaborative, detailed, performance‑driven, professional, looking to expand knowledge and responsibilities over time
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Strong project management skills
• Experience with Trademark Docketing Software. Experience with ANAQUA is a plus.
• Ability to work efficiently, meet demanding deadlines in fast‑paced environment, prioritize workflow and adjust to frequent workload fluctuations.
• Ability to work independently while also being a strong collaborator.

Work location:

• This role follows an on‑site working model, requiring the employee to work at least four days a week at the 3M Center in Maplewood, MN.
