Job summary

Google is seeking a Technical Program Manager in Sunnyvale to lead complex, multi-disciplinary optical and data center system projects. You will plan requirements, identify risks, manage schedules, and communicate across stakeholders, including executives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience in program management.
• Experience in optical design.
• Experience with system architecture for data center equipment (servers, switches, CPUs/accelerators, racks, PCIe, tray-to-tray interconnects).
• Advanced degree in Physics or Electrical Engineering preferred.
• 5 years of experience managing cross-functional projects.
• Experience in hardware or system integration program management.
• Experience in optical and high-speed communication systems and components.

Responsibilities

• Lead a cross-functional team to deliver optical and high-speed copper cable system solutions from inception to production.
• Set vision and direction for a program, outline goals, evaluate projects, and define governance.
• Engage with engineering directors and product leaders to streamline processes and enable timely releases.
• Develop project documentation, process maps, and tracking reports for status updates.
• Use technical judgment to drive delivery, reviews, and consensus-building.
