Job summary

Google in San Francisco seeks a Technical Program Manager to lead multi-disciplinary energy tech diligence and roadmapping efforts. You will coordinate with Advanced Energy Tech and AI/Infrastructure teams to evaluate new pilots, manage milestones, and structure partnerships.

You’ll translate technical data into strategic insights for executives, plan requirements, identify risks, and drive rapid, scalable programs from concept to deployment in a fast-paced, globally impactful environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
5 years of experience in program or technical project management.
Experience performing technical due diligence for energy projects or VC/PE investments.
Experience in technology assessment, R&D management, or technical consulting within the energy sector.

Responsibilities

Conduct deep-dives evaluating emerging technologies, TRL, performance claims, scalability and cost.
Contribute to technology roadmaps guiding Google's energy portfolio.
Manage technical assessments of projects, designs, milestones, and risks.
Collaborate with Advanced Energy Tech commercial team on technical foundations of complex agreements.
Monitor milestones with partners to assess viability and scalability of solutions.
