Top Prospect Group is seeking a tooling design engineer to create 2D and 3D models for progressive dies, jigs, and fixtures using SolidWorks. You will collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and production teams to ensure designs meet exact specifications and are manufacturable.

The role requires strong GD&T knowledge, experience with engineering drawings, and the ability to select materials and processes that maximize tool performance.

Competenze

• 3-5+ years of progressive die design experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks and 2D/3D CAD design.
• Strong understanding of GD&T, engineering drawings, and precision tolerances.
• Knowledge of tooling design, materials, machining processes, and manufacturing methods.
• Ability to work collaboratively with machinists, engineers, and production personnel.
• Experience with 5-axis CNC machining is a plus.

• Design and develop 2D and 3D models of progressive dies, jigs, fixtures, and other precision tooling using SolidWorks.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and production teams to ensure designs meet specifications and are practical to manufacture.
• Provide technical support during tooling fabrication, assembly, testing, and implementation.
• Review and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T requirements.

• Support continuous improvement initiatives and manufacturing process optimization.
