Talnt in Worcester, MA is hiring a Tool Maker to design, fabricate, repair and maintain precision tooling for bearings, stampings, and machined components. You’ll build jigs, fixtures, dies, gauges, and master tooling to support high-quality manufacturing.

You will read blueprints, work with engineers, and ensure tooling meets tight tolerances. We seek a skilled machinist with strong GD&T, blueprint reading, and problem-solving abilities.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or GED; technical school or apprenticeship preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of Tool Maker experience in precision manufacturing.
• Strong blueprint reading with GD&T; proficient with manual machine tools.
• Experience manufacturing/repairing dies, jigs, fixtures, gauges, or tooling.

Responsabilidades

• Layout, plan, fabricate, assemble, modify, and repair precision tooling.
• Determine efficient machining sequences to meet specs.
• Interpret drawings, GD&T, and specs to manufacture tooling.
• Set up and operate mills, lathes, grinders, drill presses, and more.
• Perform precision fitting and adjustment to meet tolerances.
• Troubleshoot tooling issues and perform preventive maintenance.
• Collaborate with Engineering to develop tooling solutions for products.
• Assist R&D and continuous improvement of tooling designs.
• Verify tooling dimensions with micrometers, calipers, gauges, and indicators.
• Maintain tooling documentation and revision history.
• Ensure safety, quality standards, and clean work environment.
