Job summary

Shawnee Specialties, Inc. in Eau Claire, WI, is seeking an experienced Tool Maker to support the construction, maintenance, repair, and enhancement of die cast molds and production tooling. The role requires hands-on problem solving and knowledge of manual mills, lathes, grinders, and CNC methods.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of toolmaking experience, reads blueprints and CAD drawings, and can coordinate with outside vendors while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years as Tool Maker or similar skilled trade.
• Experience with manual mills, lathes, grinders and precision measuring.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and CAD drawings.

Responsibilities

• Build, repair, maintain, and troubleshoot molds and tooling.
• Operate mills, lathes, grinders and related equipment.
• Read blueprints and CAD drawings to dimension parts.
• Coordinate tooling repairs with outside vendors as needed.
• Maintain tooling documentation and records.
• Support safety and continuous improvement initiatives.
