Job summary

McCormick Stevenson, a subsidiary of Paligen Technologies, seeks a Principal Tool & Gage Designer to lead tool and gage design efforts in a hybrid Clearwater, FL setting. You will drive design decisions, manage resources, and communicate technical visions with clients and internal teams.

The role requires 10+ years in tool/gage design, mastery of ASME Y14.5/Y14.43/Y14.100, and 3D CAD proficiency. You will mentor staff and coordinate with Sr. Management on training and standards adoption.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years in tool and gage design.
• ASME Y14.5, Y14.43, Y14.100 mastery.
• Ability to obtain a Secret DoD clearance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple design projects across the organization.
• Provide complete design and drawing packages for tooling and production gages.
• Check drawings for correctness and compliance with ASME Y14.5.
• Mentor staff in design, manufacturing, and technical communication.
• Attend internal and customer technical meetings and milestone reviews.
