Penn United Technologies, Inc. is seeking an experienced Tool & Die Maker to join our Die Assembly and Development team. You will develop and assemble complex progressive stamping dies and tooling, set up machine tools, and verify parts meet exact specifications.

We value precision, mechanical skill, and problem solving, with a daylight shift and occasional weekend support. The role requires physical fitness and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Journeyman papers or equivalent experience in tool & die making.
• Strong technical, mechanical and math skills.
• Thorough familiarity with tool & die making and assembly industries.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical processes.
• Ability to grasp engineering concepts and develop die-making innovations.
• Knowledge of shop capabilities and manufacturing processes.
• Candidates must lift up to 40 lbs and stand 8–10 hours daily.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Shift: mainly daylight, with some off-shifts and Saturday work.

Responsibilities

• Develop and assemble progressive stamping dies/tools to meet product prints.
• Fit and assemble tooling and assist in problem solving.
• Set up and operate lathes, milling machines, and grinders to machine parts.
• Lift and position parts using hoists and fixtures.
• Verify dimensions with dial indicators, gauge blocks, micrometers, etc.
• Connect wiring and hydraulic/pneumatic lines for components.
• Review existing dies/tools and recommend design improvements.
• Exercise sound judgment when deviations from specs are needed.
• Occasional travel to support customers.
