Job summary

Zurn Elkay Water Solutions Corporation is seeking a skilled Tool & Die/Machining professional to setup and operate CNC and manual tools, laying out stock, and repairing dies. This role emphasizes precision, blueprint interpretation, and adherence to quality standards within a manufacturing environment.

Ideal candidates have CNC experience, strong measurement skills, and a knack for troubleshooting tooling issues and supporting process improvements.

Qualifications

Tool & Die Associate’s Degree or Journeyman Tool & Die Maker certification.
CNC machining experience required.
Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, precision measuring tools, and machining processes.
Experience operating manual and CNC machine tools such as lathes, mills, grinders, and drill presses.
Ability to troubleshoot tooling and assist with process improvements and repairs.

Responsibilities

Studies blueprints or specifications and visualizes shape of die, part, or tool.
Computes dimensions of assembly and plans sequence of operations.
Measures, marks, and scribes metal or plastic stock to lay out machining.
Sets up and operates machine tools to machine parts.
Fits and assemblies parts using bolts, glue, and hand tools.
Verifies dimensions and tolerances with measuring instruments.
