Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in title examination or related title insurance work.
• Experience in fast-paced, high-volume title operation.
• In-depth knowledge of real estate law, title practices, and Illinois regulations.
• Excellent communication skills with both legal and non-legal stakeholders.
• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Verify chain of title and identify defects or encumbrances.
• Communicate with attorneys, lenders, escrow officers, and other parties to resolve title issues.
• Interpret and apply Illinois laws and ILTA/ALTA guidelines.
• Review issued title commitments, policies, and endorsements.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth closings.
• Maintain accurate records in a paperless environment.
• Manage multiple files under tight deadlines with high accuracy.
