Job summary

Leidos Inc. in California seeks an experienced Tier 2 Security Operations Center (SOC) Analyst to support the DMDC CyberPRIMES program at the Monterey Bay DoD center. The role involves advanced cybersecurity event analysis, correlation of security telemetry, and incident triage to protect government networks.

Applicants must hold an active Secret clearance, U.S. citizenship, and be capable of working in a 24x7 SOC environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of relevant cybersecurity experience.
• Experience performing cybersecurity event analysis and SOC operations.
• Experience analyzing and correlating alerts from multiple monitoring capabilities.
• Ability to document investigations and coordinate with incident responders.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced analysis of cybersecurity events escalated from Tier 1.
• Correlate alerts and telemetry to determine nature and impact of activity.
• Distinguish legitimate activity from false positives and incidents.
• Support incident triage, containment, and evidence preservation.
• Coordinate with incident responders and other teams to protect DHRA systems.
