Job summary

GitLab is seeking a seasoned Threat Intelligence Engineer to join as a Senior Security Engineer, TI. You will monitor the threat landscape, operate the Threat Intelligence Platform, and help drive a proactive security program across the company.

You will automate workflows with Python, perform malware analysis and threat actor tracking, and collaborate with Security Operations and other teams to share intel and improve defenses overall.

Qualifications

• Proven track record delivering actionable intelligence that improves security posture.
• Experience with a Threat Intelligence Platform (TIP) and managing threat feeds.
• Experience researching adversaries using OSINT and analytical techniques.
• Ability to automate tasks with Python.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the threat landscape and raise awareness through ad‑hoc Flash Reports.
• Administer our Threat Intelligence Platform and intake pipelines.
• Support incident response with malware analysis and threat actor tracking.
• Collaborate on Purple Team Flash Operations to validate defenses.
• Build relationships with industry peers and share intelligence.
• Write code and build automation to improve team efficiency.
