Job summary

Google Cloud is hiring a Security Engineer in the United States to conduct in-depth research on risk groups, TTPs, and malware. You will collaborate with Google security teams to implement countermeasures and mentor engineers, shaping threat disruption across our platform.

This role involves leading complex analyses, designing exploit mitigations, and delivering actionable intelligence to internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience with security assessments, design reviews, or threat modeling.
• 5 years of experience with security engineering, computer and network security, or security protocols.
• 5 years of coding experience in one or more general purpose languages.
• 1 year of experience leading teams in a technical capacity or leading technical risk analysis.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive threat actor tracking and research projects.
• Lead complex threat analyses and model risk activity across internal platforms.
• Create and deploy detection signatures to maintain visibility over threats.
• Produce high-quality intelligence documentation and actor profiles for stakeholders.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with cross-functional Google teams.
