Job summary

Pentangle Tech Services | P5 Group in Pennsylvania is seeking an experienced Thermal Systems Engineer to help transform custom cooling solutions into standardized CDU products for data center portfolios. You will model, simulate, and design thermal systems, heat exchangers, and cooling loops across multiple platforms.

The role requires 7+ years in thermal engineering or product development, with hands-on experience from concept through manufacturing release, plus collaboration with controls,

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Mechanical, Thermal, or Chemical Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in thermal systems engineering or product development.
• Strong expertise in heat transfer, thermodynamics, HVAC, and thermal modeling.

Responsibilities

• Thermal & System Design: perform thermal calculations, heat transfer analysis, and fluid flow modeling.
• Product Development: support conversion of custom products into standardized configurable platforms and participate in full lifecycle activities.
• Controls & Performance Optimization: collaborate with controls engineers on operating logic, sequences of operation, and system responses.
• Localization & Manufacturing: support localization across North America, Europe, and Asia; define manufacturing standards for U.S. and Mexico production.
