Job summary

Google Sunnyvale is seeking a Senior Mechanical and Systems Engineer to lead the design and optimization of IT/data center thermal systems from chip to data center. You will drive product requirements, collaborate with跨-functional teams, and contribute to research and planning for scalable architecture as part of Google's Platforms Infrastructure Engineering.

The base US salary range is $159,000–$231,000 plus bonus, equity, and benefits.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 5 years in advanced thermal management and product design.
  • 5 years in CFD modeling and thermal characterization.
  • Experience leading thermal management projects.

Responsibilities

  • Lead qualification of thermal products from concept design through production and deployment.
  • Contribute to system architecture from chip to chiller, optimizing Total Cost of Ownership.
  • Develop holistic thermal/mechanical/system designs from package to data center level for cost and efficiency.
  • Design thermal management hardware including heat sinks, heat exchangers, air movers, pumps, and cooling systems.
  • Establish specifications and test procedures to ensure reliability and performance.
