Job summary

Senior Metal Bellows in Sharon, MA seeks a detail-oriented technician to serve as the final checkpoint for designs before customer delivery. You will test, validate, and ensure performance of precision bellows and assemblies in a collaborative lab environment.

The role requires hands-on experience, strong reading of drawings, and the ability to manage multiple tests while maintaining data integrity and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings/prints.
• Comfortable following written work instructions and procedures.
• High level of attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Experience with rigorous note-taking and data collection.
• Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems, including hoses, valves, and regulators.
• Comfortable working with high-pressure systems (6,000+ PSI).
• Ability to install, read, and interpret pressure and temperature gauges.
• Ability to assemble basic electrical wiring for sensors and valves used in tests.
• A high school diploma, GED, or technical school associates degree.
• Experience in a laboratory environment.
• 5-10 years in a hands-on technician role.

Responsibilities

• Set up and run qualification tests on precision bellows, assemblies, and finished parts.
• Read and understand technical drawings, qualification test plans, and customer specifications.
• Work with engineers to develop test setups capable of meeting test requirements.
• Support multiple test plans simultaneously with multiple active tests per plan.
• Use mechanical tools and test equipment to run qualification tests.
• Identify and work to correct test issues.
• Keep quality, safety, and data integrity at the forefront of everything.
• Use basic computer systems for data entry and job tracking.
• Maintain and grow the capabilities of the engineering test lab.
• Support your team - train others, share knowledge, and raise the bar.
