Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science & Engineering, or related fields.
  • 5+ years of experience in mechanical testing and component validation.
  • Experience with hydraulic fatigue testing, especially with MTS or Instron equipment.
  • Experience with 3D CAD software, especially Creo.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with design/manufacturing teams to select tests, scope timing/budgets, design fixturing, analyze data, and communicate results.
  • Lead projects, set success criteria with clients, manage plans and budgets, communicate with stakeholders.
  • Provide engineering support for fatigue testing, bolt joint testing, and production introduction.
  • Coordinate with external labs/universities and direct lab activities.
  • Contribute to safety and technical excellence within AMT.

The role is focused on mechanical testing (fatigue and fracture mechanics) of components and bolted joints for heavy machinery components including engines, powertrains, and electrified products.
