Advantest America Inc. in Lake Forest, CA is hiring a Senior Test Technician to troubleshoot, test, and repair electronics systems and assemblies in a fast-paced environment.

The role involves system bring-up, PCBA testing, and collaboration with engineering and manufacturing teams. The successful candidate will have an Associate degree in Electronics or 8+ years of equivalent experience, along with experience in RMA processes, MS Office, and MRP software.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, test, and repair electronics systems, assemblies, modules, and PCBA’s to component level using schematics and documents.
• Install and assemble new electro-mechanical equipment and components including rework using soldering tools & equipment (IPC-610 a plus).
• Proper use of equipment (Oscilloscope, DMM, Power Supplies).
• Perform PCBA testing to verify functionality and support troubleshooting using schematics and test equipment.
• Execute system level testing including bring-up on fully assembled units.
• Support high level assembly testing, validation, final test activities with engineering and quality requirements.
• Assist production and Engineering with miscellaneous tasks.
• Update software and run tests on existing equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance.
• Maintain reports and manuals.
• Enter failure data and reports into RMA Database.
• Analyze and interpret test data.
• All other duties as assigned.
• Some travel may be required to local suppliers.
