Job summary

Alstom in the Pittsburgh area seeks a full-time hybrid Electrical Engineer to develop test equipment and software for propulsion and train control systems. Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of experience in Test Equipment design for electronics systems.
Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
Knowledge of high power and high voltage testing, PCB-level testing.
Proficiency with LabVIEW or C for test software development.
Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration.
Willingness to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

Develop test equipment and software for propulsion and train control system electronics.
Design and maintain test benches and debugging tools.
Ensure testing standards during product development.
Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, purchasing, and QA teams.
Support tender quotations for bench test projects.
Define software, hardware, and mechanical architectures for automated test benches.
