Job summary

Medtronic seeks an experienced software/system verification engineer in Lafayette, Colorado, to drive validation across new product development. You will design and execute test strategies, automate GUI, integration, and system tests, and collaborate with software, systems, and quality teams to ensure regulatory compliance.

You will mentor junior engineers, document procedures, and communicate testing progress and risk to project teams while contributing to a culture of quality and patient

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering with 4+ years in software, systems, or test engineering.
• Experience developing and executing software or system verification testing.
• Experience creating technical documentation, test protocols, and test reports.
• Experience working on cross-functional engineering teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead verification activities for software and system-level features across new product development programs.
• Design, develop, and execute automated and manual test solutions for GUI, integration, reliability, and system testing.
• Develop test protocols, procedures, and documentation required to demonstrate product compliance and performance.
• Collaborate with software, systems, and quality engineering teams to review requirements, designs, and risk controls.
• Analyze test results, investigate defects, and drive resolution of technical issues.
• Identify opportunities to improve test methods, automation capabilities, and development processes.
• Provide technical leadership, project planning input, and guidance to less experienced engineers.
• Communicate testing progress, risks, and recommendations to project teams and stakeholders.
