Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Senior Test Engineer to join the Chinook Program, focusing on delivering high-quality software solutions for mission-critical applications. This role requires strong testing leadership, automation expertise, and collaboration within an Agile environment.

You will lead test strategy, develop automated and manual test cases, and work with developers and stakeholders to ensure quality across the SDLC.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software testing or quality engineering experience.
• Experience testing enterprise applications throughout the software development lifecycle.

Clearance Level Required

Active Top Secret/SCI with the ability to successfully pass a Polygraph examination.

Primary Responsibilities

• Lead planning, design, development, and execution of comprehensive test strategies.

Basic Qualifications

• US citizenship is required per contract.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or related field and 8-12 years of prior relevant experience or Master’s with 6-10 years of prior relevant experience.
• 8+ years of software testing or quality engineering experience.
• Experience testing enterprise applications throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and CI/CD processes.
• Experience developing automated test solutions.
• Knowledge of functional, integration, regression, system, and performance testing methodologies.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to communicate results and issues to technical and non-technical customer stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with automated testing frameworks (i.e., Playwright, Cypress, etc.) and scripting (JavaScript, Python).
• Familiarity with enterprise applications and large-scale systems.
• Experience with API, UI, database, and performance testing.
• Knowledge of cloud- applications and containerized environments.
• Certifications such as ISTQB, CASTP, CAST, CSTE, Security+, or similar.
