Job description

This position is responsible for providing total program test support by acting as lead engineer for all test functions on production programs. Additionally, develops functional test programs from specifications, works on technical problems affecting test throughput, meets with customer technical representatives, assists test personnel in resolving difficult problems, and coordinates problem resolution with other departments.

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience

Experience/Requirements:

• Minimum of seven years related experience
• Extensive knowledge of manufacturing processes including SMT
• Extensive knowledge in developing functional test platforms
• Strong computer and communication skills required
• Inter-, intra-departmental, and external contact required
• Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
• Ability to obtain a US Government Clearance, if required

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Develops functional test platforms from specifications
• Coordinates test platforms built by either in-house or outside vendors
• Sets up test area for on-time startup of new programs
• Meets with customers and all levels of management on technical issues
• Writes reports, test procedures, proposal inputs, and technical papers
• Trains technicians on new test equipment and advanced troubleshooting methods
• Leads team in continuous improvement projects to enhance test yields and reduce costs
• Attends classes and seminars to stay updated on test equipment
• Performs other related duties as assigned
